Hello, I have sci at c4-c5, it affects my arms and hands. I can do a lot with them but I am limited. I was injured in 2003 in a automobile accident. I am wondering if my injury has a name. Also, my injury has begun to affect my wrist, on the right. Doc says to wear a brace, I feel like it is broken but I know it's not. They said there are something s we have to learn to live with. Now my concern is what I should and shouldn't be doing. I sure don't want to make it worse. Typing this made it a bit worse. Please help I didn't find the right solution from the internet. Hello, I have an idea for a medical advice website that I believe would fill an unmet need for patients. I have never created a website nor authored this type of advice in the past. My preliminary design would include an initial set of articles/posts written by me, and a forum for patients to ask questions directly.Although I would enjoy writing the articles and answering questions, eventually I would hope to make side income from this website. I have a bunch of questions: I would love to keep it simple initially, but I realize if I am posting medical advice I may set myself up for liability issues. I'm guessing I would have to put a disclaimer that this should not replace your doctor's advice, blahblahblah. Is there a way to do this without getting a lawyer involved?-Could I do this anonymously? I realize with some minor digging people could find out who I am, but I would rather not put my real name out there for the casual viewer.Without going into too much detail, the topic would lend itself to personal "consults" specific to each patient. This would be something more lenghty and involved than a reply to a forum post. Would it be possible/wise to set this up as a paid service? This would involve reviewing medical reports the patient already has in their possession. Please help I didn't find the right solution from the internet. Hello, I have spent at least a little time on this and I am completely flummoxed by it. I think this can be framed as a legitimate consumer issue, not a medical issue. For decades, I have been accustomed to have something called a "physical exam" which I've been told is important. In a physical exam, I believe a doctor follows a sort of line of investigation--it's not exactly a uniform set of tests or observations--to determine your physical health and what needs to be followed up. It typically, however, involves disrobing and literally having the doctor look at and physically probe various parts of your body. For a gent, it would typically include a DRE; for a long time now, it has included an EKG. Stethoscope. Auscultatation. Vital signs; temperature, blood pressure, height, weight. There are usually a few blood panels, etc. Here's what I can't figure out. Is a Medicare "wellness visit" a name for a physical that is done to Medicare specs and includes a set of, yes, important but EXTREMELY rudimentary questionnaire items performed by a PA... Snellen chart, seeing if you can get up from a chair and walk across the room, asking whether you had any falls in the last year and whether your house is well lit? Or is a Medicare "wellness visit" JUST the barebones basics? I.e. about 10% of what a "physical" covers? Please help I didn't find the right solution from the internet. Hello, I know we have both military and physicians here, so I'm hoping for some informed direction...Keeping details to a minimum..My child is in the US Army and has a function limiting orthopedic problem which needs surgery very soon. While this began overseas the concern is now here in the states. The problem is uncommon, so there are few experts in dealing with this problem. As with any organization I'm sure there are fabulous surgeons along with some that are not so much, especially when dealing with an uncommon problem.s there any way, as a soldier in the Army, to ensure you have the best surgeon for the job? Or, possibly get a referral to a civilian surgeon? My child will be pursuing this on their own and I want to provide whatever guidance I can to ensure a positive outcome. Please help I didn't find the right solution from the internet. References: https://www.bogleheads.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=242602 infographic design quote Thank you
